Registration
>This year’s
registration fee is $135.00 for first child which includes a $20.00 volunteer deposit and will
be refunded upon completion of one qualifying volunteer activity. $100.00 each
additional sibling.
>New players
must provide a copy of their birth certificate.
>A parent code
of conduct must be signed by at least one parent/guardian
> A medical
form signed and dated 2010 by both a parent and Doctor. (This form does
not necessarily require a full physical)
ALL OF
THESE FORMS MUST BE HANDED IN PRIOR TO UNIFORM OR EQUIPMENT HAND OUT. NO ONE
WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITH OUT THESE FORMS!
Practice
>Practice for
the 2010 season will begin on August 2, 2010.
>Cheerleaders
will practice three times a week in august and then two or three times
after school starts in September (depending on the division).
>MM football
usually practices three times a week throughout.
>D1 football
usually practices 3-5 times a week in august and 3 times during school.
>D2 & D3 or 4
practice five times a week in august and 4 times a week during school.
All practices start at
6PM and last 1 ˝ to 2 hours.
You will be
contacted by your coach in the spring regarding uniform/equipment hand out and
practice schedules.
Season
>Games start
Labor Day weekend and run until the end of October. Most games are played on
Sunday starting any time from 10 am to 6pm. With a few games on Saturday
starting at 4pm thru
8pm. There are at
least
four Home games played at our home field at 535 Berea Rd.
Montgomery NY and at least four away
games which are played throughout Orange county and vicinity. MM games last
about one hour and all others last about two hours. All players and
cheerleaders are required to be at the field at least one hour before the
start of a game. Divisions I thru IV may qualify for the playoffs of up to 2
weeks and a super bowl played during the first three weeks of November
>Cheerleaders
continue to practice thru Mid-November for the Cheerfest production. (This is
a get together of ALL OCYFL cheerleaders)
Equipment/Uniforms
>Cheerleaders
are issued a Vest & Skirt. Additional required personal items will need to be
purchased - cheer sneaker (safety issue), socks, spankies, crop top, hair bow
and sweatsuit which will be done thru the league.
>Football
players are issued helmet, all pads, practice and game pants and standard
jersey.
(A personalized Jersey may be purchased) Additional required personal items
will need to be purchased– girdle, athletic supporter & cup, mouthpiece,
cleats, practice jersey.
