Dear Parents,

I just wanted to send a letter to you prior to registration this week about our football program.  Nothing has changed.  This is the same program that has been around since 1987.  We have come a long way since then.  In 1987 all we had was a dirt field and some dedicated parents wanting to provide a quality football program.  We still have the dedicated parents, but now we have goal posts, a score board, concession stand, tackling dummy’s and sleds.  Each year we continue to try to improve the facilities.  Last year alone we replaced the all the Cheer uniforms and had the goal post pads redone.  Our goal this year is to try to get the lights for the other side of the field up so that we lose the shadow effect.  Our future goals include redoing the field surface with new grass and adding a sprinkler system so that your children have the best surface to play on.

There is a rumor going around that we were going to drastically change how we set up our teams.  This is simply not true.  The only change is that we are going to be more transparent in how teams are picked.  The process will be the same, except for players moving into the Division 1 from mighty mites. This change will include  a skills day and then the players will be drafted by the coaches.  We also have all new players coming into the league in divisions 1 thru 3, they will be included in the skills day and drafting as well.   This is to slowly bring balance to the teams and still maintain the long term Coach/ Player relationship.  The process will be posted on our website for all to read once we finalize it.  Other than that we will continue the same great football program that we have had for years.  We will continue to have the free agility camp in July.  We will still have the same quality coaches instructing your children.

Finally, I am available to talk to any parent about concerns you may have. We are not a perfect program, but as always, we continue to strive for that goal.  If you have any questions please feel free to email me or call me at 845 636 8351.  I look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming registration.
